The Wise Garden Encyclopedia 1951 - by E.D.L. Seymour, BSA - Plant Identification, Botanical Drawings, Definitions, Gardening tips, Photos. This is a wonderful book for the beginner as has a supplement on "The First Garden" by Carol Woodward. This is the 'go-to' book for a new gardener or experienced gardener wishing to learn more about plants and their care. There are 1380 pages full of knowledge. It was produced in 1951 by the Wm. H. Wise & Company, New York. The original dust jacket is inside the cover. The hard cover remains the lovely color of new grass. The only wear is in the seams of the front and back covers, and that is not really serious, as it appears it was repaired in the past. If you know a "budding" young gardener, this would be a terrific gift from the mid century generation. Height: 9" Length: 6" Thickness: 3" **Our vintage ephemera may have signs of wear or production imperfections. We mention creases, crazing, foxing or tears in our descriptions, the photos are part of the description, please examine carefully. Questions welcome. Thanks for shopping!
