    Hardcover. Condition: Good. Hardcover, no dust jacket. Green cloth over boards with blind embossed lettering to the spine. Dated 1929 on copyright page. No date on title page. 462 pages. Good condition. Covers are worn at corners and head and foot of spine, but binding is strong. Overall discoloration. Light rubbing to the fore-edge. Pages evenly discolored throughout, with heavier discoloration to the endpapers. A small water stain along the head of the first few pages.Endpapers cracked along the gutter in the front and back, but the pages are still firmly attached. Binding is strong. A short pencilled note to page 41 and previous owner's name written to the front and rear free end papers. No other marks or writing. This book belonged to Monroe Martin-former head of the math department at UMD and founding director of the Institute of Fluid Dynamics and Applied Mathematics. His name is written on the front free endpaper. Overall good condition. Please email with questions or to see any photos.
