It is in a somewhat smaller and lighter format (same height, just thinner) than the trade edition (and the Book-of-the-Month Club edition, which came out later). It has 255 pages (the trade edition has 296 pages) - the text is the same, just printed slightly smaller. The binding is grey paper-covered boards, quarter-bound in black at the spine with white lettering.The other three book club editions were: the Reader's Digest Book Club, the Book-of-the-Month Club and (in England) the Book Society.
