This autobiography examines the family history, childhood, education, married life and travels of this Thai Prince, who spent many years living in Cornwall.?With a presentation bookplate to the front pastedown stating, 'With the Compliments of H. R. H. Prince Chula of Thailand G. C. V. O. Sent at the personal request of His Royal Highness'.Prince Chula Chakabongse was a member of the Royal Family of Thailand. The grandson of King Chulalongkorn, he studied in the United Kingdom and married an English woman; he was a prolific author with a keen interest in racing.Lacking the original dust wrapper.With illustrations of the Prince, his wife, their family and encounters with the British Royal Family, as well as a folding plate family tree to the rear of the work.?An uncommon work. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally, rather worn; boards are string, with wear to the head and tail of the spine, which is faded. Boards have tidemarks to them. Presentation bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, binding is generally firm, with the occasional strain. Pages are bright and clean. Good. book.
