Condition: Fine copy. First edition. 8vo, original blind-ruled black cloth, gilt lettering on the upper board. The only published volume of poetry by Andrews Norton (1786-1853), man of letters and conservative theologian from Cambridge, Mass., a slender volume of 16 poems. It was privately printed posthumously by Norton's family, and this copy bears a family inscription. Presentation on the front free endpaper: "Sarah P. Pratt / August 1854 / The Gift of Mrs. [Thomas] Wigglesworth." Mrs. Wigglesworth was Norton's sister Jane.
