Illustrated with a frontispiece, twenty-five images across fifteen plates, and four maps, one of which is folding. Collated complete. A detailed account of the author's travels across India, with chapters on Calcutta, Bilaspur, jungle jaunts, the wild animals, Bhojudih, diamonds, and the Khurda Road. Written by John W. Mitchell. In the original full blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting predominantly to the first and last few pages. Age toning to the endpapers.
