Now in its 40th year, the Antiquarian Book Seminar provides an opportunity for leading specialists to share their expertise and experience with booksellers, librarians, and collectors in a comprehensive survey of the rare book market, both antiquarian and modern. More than 2000 students have graduated from the seminar since its inception, many of whom have gone on to become prominent members of the bookselling community.
Planned as the summertime destination for fans and collectors of vintage popular fiction and related materials, PulpFest seeks to honor pulp fiction and pulp art by drawing attention to the many ways they have inspired writers, artists, film directors, software developers, game designers, and other creators over the decades. In addition to our exciting programming, PulpFest will host a large dealers’ room featuring tens of thousands of pulp magazines, vintage paperbacks, digests, men’s adventure and true crime magazines, original art, first edition hardcovers, series books, reference books, dime novels and story papers, Big Little Books, B-Movies, serials and related paper collectibles, old-time radio shows, and Golden and Silver Age comic books, as well as newspaper adventure strips. Not only that, we’ll also have an auction on Saturday night that promises to be one for the ages!

Basic procedures and problems are discussed both formally and informally through a series of lectures, discussions, demonstrations and practical hands-on workshops with emphasis on cataloguing, pricing, and bookselling in the electronic age.
The seminar is designed for people of all levels of expertise, from beginners to those with years of experience who want to hone their skills in this rapidly changing field.
The San Francisco Map Fair is sponsored by the History in Your Hands Foundation, a non-profit organization with a mission to provide classrooms with authentic, historical objects in an effort to help foster a more enriched learning experience.
