The Life of Pi by Yann Martel We can always count on our readers to come through for us. Last month’s Avid Reader saw us discussing the books that have robbed us of the most sleep over the years, by virtue of being so compelling that we couldn’t stop reading long enough to make time for niggling matters like eating, sleeping, or bathing. While they may consume us and become obsessions, there is something irresistible about the pull of a book that captivating, and we couldn’t help but feel that we’d only scratched the surface. There must be more that we haven’t experienced yet. So, we asked you. And boy, did you answer. So much so that this month is an extension of last month’s Avid Reader, from the perspective of you — our customers, readers and fellow booklovers. We thank you, and curse you, and if you need us, we’ll be reading.
