Book Description US Dept. of Agriculture, Washington DC, 1942. First printing. Folio size (26.5 x 20 cm), pp 136, of which 3 are a general introduction to the town, followed by 81 b/w photos, most of which are full-page, with some two to a page, all with facing text identyfying the contents of the photo. The original intention of the Dept. of Agriculture was to publish 6 of these, show-casing different towns in different regions of the country. El Cerrito was the first, and I can find no indication that the other towns were ever done. The project was probably scrapped because of the war. This copy is in wrappers, in very good condition.
