We are a small, single-owner business. We have been operating on and off since 1977 and our stock is quite varied, leaning towards antiquarian and 19th century with the addition of original aquatint and lithographic, or woodcut engravings. Also maps, magazines and Ephemera - In fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually whenever possible. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor FINE would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance in some cases, we would use "near fine" or similar. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully. We offer books on all subjects and do not specialise. We have sold books to some major libraries worldwide over the past 30 years or so and many serious private collectors. Some of these satisfied clients include The British Library & The UCLA in the USA, the National Portrait Gallery and others, without returns or mishaps. We are happy to take enquiries about our books and will attempt to answer any questions fully Our service to both the book trade and public is exactly the same with the same commitment to provide you with the book as described and standards set by the ABA, ILAB and the PBFA. We describe our items carefully (with the odd human error, for which we accept all returns unconditionally). We always offer complete books unless stated in the description. We don't sell from a warehouse and we do not sell Print-on-Demand copies or facsimile copies. QUESTIONS: Are Welcome anytime and we will respond to them all. PLEASE try to reply when an answer is sent so we know you have acknowledged the reply, we feel this is required as a COMMON courtesy. Unfortunately this practice and politeness, like other traditional respectful customs is falling into disuse. But surely a quick "thank you" or even rude reply is not SO hard, is it?
We guarantee the condition of every book as it's described on the AbeBooks web sites. If you're dissatisfied with your purchase (Incorrect Book/Not as Described/Damaged) We will ALWAYS make impartial refunds:
