First Edition. Spine sunned. No DJ. Inked name on inside front cover. Charles Zueblin (1866-1924) received his early education in Philadelphia schools and the University of Pennsylvania. Graduating from Northwestern University in 1887, he continued with post-graduate studies at Yale and the University of Leipzig. In 1891 he founded the Northwestern University settlement house in Chicago and a year later became an instructor of Sociology at the newly-established University of Chicago. In 1902 he accepted an appointment as professor of Sociology. Zueblin wrote books and articles and lectured throughout the country on urban problems and issues. 188pp. Bookseller Inventory # 3001043
