Complete set, in three volumes. Stated on title-page: "Translated from the last edition printed at Berlin by W. Hooper, M.D." 8vo. 3 vols. I: xv, [1], 445 pp. II: [2], ii, 433, [2]; fold. f. III: [2], ii, 444 pp. ESTC T128060; RISM B/VI/1 p. 149. Contemporary sheep, spines gilt extra; spines gilt-lettered on red and black leather labels, with white-lettered shelf number at bottom, and paper label at top. Bindings rubbed and abraded, with small chips at head and foot of spines, and much chipping of gilt on vol. III; joints of vols. I and II cracked but covers holding, covers of vol. III detached. Tear from outer margin of pp. 273/274, touching text but without loss. Institutional bookplates on front pastedowns. Pencilled shelf number on title-pages. Vol. II with light waterstaining throughout at inner and top margins. Vol. III with waterstaining, torn and loose front free endpaper, and dark stains on covers; covers also with remnants of old transparent tape and evidence of their removal.
