Cm. 15,5, cc. 163 (1). Bellissimo marchio tipografico giolitino al frontespizio, ripetuto al colophon; alcuni graziosi capilettera xilografici. Bella legatura settecentesca in piena pelle maculata con titoli su tassello e ricchi fregi in oro al dorso. Tagli rossi. Segni di tarlo alle cerniere e ad alcune carte centrali (alcune lettere interessate). Esemplare peraltro caratterizzato da carte di non comune freschezza. Senofonte (ca. 430 a.C - ca. 355 a.C.), storico ateniese, fu scrittore poligrafo del quale ci sono pervenute tutte le opere complete, una circostanza che ha fatto di lui una delle fonti maggiori per la conoscenza dei suoi tempi. Seconda tiratura della prima edizione giolitina di questo classico della storiografia antica e che fu ristampata presso lo stesso editore nel 1561 e 1567. Cfr.
