Hardcover. Condition: Fair. First Edition, stated. Number 60 of 1000 copies and inscribed by Starr to actor and comedian Mack Swain on the limitation page. Spine is cocked, the binding remains solid. The maroon boards show some obvious handling, dampstaining on the cover and spine, wear to the labels, rubbing at the corners. Half title page unopened. Text and small color illustrations are clean and unmarked. Some dampstaining in the gutters. Untrimmed edges. Small b/w newsprint photo of Starr affixed to 2nd flyleaf, offsetting on FFEP verso is noted. Clipping of Starr quote is affixed to the rear pastedown. Signed by Author. Seller Inventory # CHAPsta4w

Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. 8vo; 365 pages; maroon fine pebbled cloth, gold paper title label on spine, and vertical band on front cover printed in black; pink very deco pictorial front endpaper; all edges untrimmed; a very nice copy. First edition, limited to 1000 copies (this number 513) signed in ink by Starr. In its complete, very slightly worn, colorful pictorial art deco dust jacket signed by Victor Mall (white spine a tad toned but red lettering all OK). Twenty-five gossipy stories, essays and columns on Movieland. Several square coloured deco woodcuts as chapter headings.
