Black cloth with gilt (naturally!) lettering to fr. and sp. 446 pp. (prelims in roman), 4 8 pp. blocks of coloured ills ex-pagination. Unclipped jacket (will add protective sleeve when ordered. I might note these jacket illustrations and design differ from that on another copy I am listing, though design credit the same. Unclear why this should be, the other jacket is, in my opinion, in some ways better, but difference fairly marginal. Explanation may lie in this having 'Sharps Pixley Bullion Brokers' at bottom of spine instead of GFMS, though only that appears on t.p. 19.5 cm x 26 cm. Seller Inventory # 013701
Pristine condition. No marks or scratches or discoloration
Title: THE AGES OF GOLD. Mines, Markets, Merchants ...
Publisher: GFMS Limited, London
Publication Date: 2007
Binding: Hardcover
Condition: As New
Dust Jacket Condition: As New
Edition: 1st Edition
Seller: mercurious books, Winfield, KS, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. GFMS of London, copyright 2007. Large, thick hardcover, 10-1/4 inches tall, 446 pp. including notes, bib, and index. Four sections of color plates. Dust jacket included (with price in pounds [33] not dollars). This copy looks almost like new, except that the dust jacket has a few issues. Book itself clean, crisp, and unmarked. Firm, secure binding. Held from a certain angle, the long edge of the textblock has minor pitting or scraping about two inches down from top. Very minor--you have to look closely. Dust jacket slightly rubbed and slightly curling along top and bottom edges. A 1-inch tear near backstrip on top edge. Other than that, the book has a "new" feel to it, probably not really used. Nice copy. Priority and overseas shipping will require extra charge. Seller Inventory # ABE-1635648281701
