4 pages of ads + 69 pages + 3 page publishers books. Colour illustrated Paperback binding fair, edge nicks/chips, very fragile. Contents very good, clean & tight, a couple of bent corner tips. Pencil inscription to top of first page. It states on title page 60 photographs, but the book actually has 58 illustrations from photographs. Originally published December 1905, this copy is January 1906, so looks like a 1st edition, 2nd printing. The front colour illustration has a man in a kilt. Dr. William Cullen of Kilsyth, Stirlingshire, Scotland, published by Gowans & Gray. A Scottish publisher were at 58 Cadogan Street in Glasgow, and had a London branch at 35, Leicester Square. Half title page has Gowans?s Practical Picture-Books, No 1. A very rare booklet with just a few listed in institutions. A quick net check found no other copy for sale.
