120 pp., 7.5 x 10.75 inches. The third issue, from Spring 1976, of the "English-language Journal of the International Surrealist Movement." An impressive array of contributors, including mainstays of the Chicago Surrealists, but including diverse others such as Cecil Taylor, Rikki (Ducornet), Saint-Pol Roux, T-Bone Slim, Clarence John Laughlin, Philip Lamantia, Malcolm de Chazal, et al. Laid in is a copy of the uncommon original 1974 broadsheet denouncing Stephen Schwartz (of Bastard Angel) and drumming him out of the surrealist circle (the beginning of the "Schwartz Affair"), bearing the names of Franklin and Penelope Rosemont, Paul Garon, Joseph Jablonski, Lamantia, and ten others but most likely written by Franklin Rosemont. (This tract was later reprinted in the fourth and final issue of Arsenal in 1989.) Tract lightly rumpled and with several tiny faint spots not affecting the text (and with a holograph correction in pencil in the last paragraph), folded in thirds as though for mailing; the magazine with only light edge wear and otherwise very good.
