Item description from seller

First edition. Cover by *Flat Stanley* and *New Yorker* artist Tomi Ungerer. Octavo. 214pp. Fine in near fine dust jacket with some tiny tears at the front flap and light wear at the edges. The first book of noted *New York* magazine food critic, Gael Greene, whose daring personal charm and humor changed the style of restaurant reviews, and along the way coined the term, "foodie." This book covers her early years as a general assignment reporter for the Detroit Press, United Press and *The New York Post*, including an intimate meet and greet with Elvis Presley. A surprisingly uncommon book, particularly in nice condition.
