First edition of what appears to be the first Balti grammar; 8vo, pp. iv, 108; original printed blue paper-cover boards, original glassine jacket; glassine with a few small chips and tears, but otherwise fine throughout. Contains a 20-page English Balti vocabulary. Balti is a Sino-Tibetan language natively spoken by the ethnic Balti people in the Baltistan region of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, Nubra Valley of the Leh district and in the Kargil district of Ladakh, India.
