The consecutive issues no. 6-11 of the first volume of 'The Beacon' monthly magazine, covering from April to September 1922. Bound in one volume. A cultural magazine published between 1921 and 1924, it contains numerous essays of philosophical and social content, on poetry, politics, modern science and more. The publication was suspended in 1924 to 1925, and a second series was reissued in 1925.Edited by E R Appleton and others. With contributions by Robert Graves, John Adcock, Edmond G A Holmes, Walter Wadsworth, and others.With thirty-two full page plates, of which one in full colour and some in red ink, as well as numerous engravings in text. In a full cloth binding. Externally smart with minor shelf wear and edge wear, minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound.
