First edition. 16 pages of text, 1 sheet of contents and 30 double-page picture plates in full colour print. Red linen spine with lithographed front cover. In very good condition, with a touch of marking and rubbing only. Slight bumping to the corners. Small area to the front cover with an old tape repair (not particularly noticeable). Inside, the thirty plates are in very good condition. Slightly darkened to the edges only. The plates are held in the binding by hinges, and a few of the plates have been re-set / reinforced in position. Overall an excellent example. 320 by 210mm (12� by 8� inches). Intended for the visual instruction of young people in schools and families. From the series: "Naturgeschichte des Tier-, Pflanzen- und Mineralreichs in kolorirten Bildern nebst erl�uterndem." .
