About the Author
A graduate of London's Royal College of Art, writer and designer Andrew Haslam now leads the MA Communication Design course at Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design in London. He is the recipient of the American Institute of Physics Award for Best Science Writing and the Geographical Society Gold Medal for the most significant contribution to geography. He also runs his own studio, creating science, history, and geography textbooks for children.
