Add to basketCastillejo's 30-year service as a Spanish diplomat based out of Washington, D.C., afforded his travel to Algiers, Benin, Madrid and Stuttgart. He self-published the first printing of The Book of i's during a 1969 term in Germany culminating a 3-year period of involvement with the artist group Zaj founded by Juan Hidalgo and Walter Marchetti for which he had been a contributing member and benefactor. He continued to experiment with publishing his style of autonomic typographic books including The Book of Eighteen Letters, 1972 and The Book of j's, 1999, among others. Very good, sunned end papers, edges soiled and foxing Good dust jacket, edges and spine cover peeling, spine ends chipped and worn with close tears, four scotch tape repairs to covers; back cover top edge creased with tears, overall soiling Hardcover [octavo], cream cloth boards, black titles, pictorial dust jacket, [416].
