Photo frontispiece of the author fishing the Ausable River with tissue guard. Illustrated by Alma W. Froderstrom. Thirteen plates, seven of which are hand-colored, showing natural stream insects with descriptive tissue guards. The book is bound in its original light blue cloth with gilt mayflies on the front cover and gilt titles. The spine is slightly age-toned. There are few small, neat penciled notes in the margins. See Siegel, et al, number 88. A very good book.
