Handbill or small broadside. Measuring approximately 4½" x 8", printed recto only on thin paper. Old folds and modest soil, one short tear and several pinholes in the upper margin, very good. A handsome handbill or small broadside advertising an 1877 meeting of the 17th Ward Club of the United Labor Party in Philadelphia. Eminent labor advocates are promised to address the meeting, and "[a]ll who favor Independent Political Action are respectfully invited to attend." The document is signed in type by a committee comprised of Frank Buob, Wm. Kressle, and Geo Snell. The 17th ward is in north-central Philadelphia. Presumably rare. Seller Inventory # 537401
