A Near fine copy of a popular book. Orange back boards clean and gold embossing bright. Slight bumping to the tail of the spine. Inscribed on end paper and following page (see photos). The second inscription is not over an illustration, the illustration is on the next page and shows through in the photograph Foxing to the end papers and to the text block consistent with the age of the book (see photos). Dust jacket wonderfully illustrated by V.H. Drummond who also provided the illustrations to the book. Dust jacket chipped on 3 corners with evidence of shelf wear. Slight yellowing of edges.
