Beige printed wrappers, 8vo, 53 pp. 634 lots. The 'well-known collector' was Rev. Charles Henry Gregan Craufurd, 1802-1876 (sometimes given as Crawford, eg in Pollard's List of English Book Sales). This is the first of three Sotheby sales of material from his library, the others taking place in 1864 and (posthumously) 1876. A 1489 Caxton in this first sale, The book of fayttes of armes [and] of chyvalrye' was bought by William Tite. Front wrapper inscribed in pencil at head "Rev Crawford". Wrappers slightly duststained, otherwise Very Good. Seller Inventory # ABE-43963
