A previous owner had written, neatly, in pen next to each A.M (anno mundi] in the margins, the equivalent year according to the Gregorian calendar. Scores of pages are full page advertisements for everything from corsets to banking to Hebrew books. Great advertisements, many illustrated, including the pastedowns of the boards and the free endpapers. With blank Birth/Death/Marriage pages front.
