First edition of d.a. levy s treatise on his hometown, one of only 126 copies. A love-hate letter to Cleveland from the city s most prolific and paranoid poet, The Rectal Eye Visions contains some of the poems previously published in The Marrahwanna Quarterly and Poets at the Gate. The book begins with an introduction by Douglas Blazek of the Open Skull Press, based in Illinois, expounding on levy s vision of Midwestern suburban sprawl, apathy, television, tabloids, and conservatism. The work also includes credit for a photograph of the author, taken by R. Zupan; however the photograph was never attached to this copy, as usual. Taylor & Horvath B-05. First edition. Mimeograph. Side-stapled in plain self-wraps. [17] pp, rectos only. 13 x 8 1?2 in. Very good.
