About this Item
This is copy 4 of 200. Fourteen pieces, including one duplicate, ranging from a mock passport poem to a trio of cardboard coasters. All are enclosed within a printed paper folder with a string tie, and housed in a blue cloth clamshell box with a printed paper title label inset on the front panel. A fine copy. "This book was a collaborative project between the Grandview Hotel Poets and the Gold Quoin Press. Working together, the authors and designers printed and assembled this book at Bradley University's book arts studio. All printing, with one small exception, was done on a Vandercook Universal one and an SP-15 press using photo-polymer plates, pressure printing, collagraph, and wood type. Special thanks to OSP Printing in Bloomington, IL for die-cutting." The contributors include Barbara A. Clevenger, Jannett Highfill, Mark Liebenow, Janeil Page, Thomas Palakeel, Burt Raabe, Elizabeth Klise von Zerneck, Robert Rowe, Sharon Conlee, Joe Fitzanko, Becky Krohe, Kevin McGuire, and Lisa Nelson Raabe. The Grandview Hotel Poets began in 2008, gathering monthly in Peoria to encourage each other's writing and bolster the range and power of their own literary voices. Their first chapbook, Bluffs and Bridges (2011), was followed by this innovative collaboration with Gold Quoin Press, a book arts project at Bradley University. Scarce, OCLC locates only four holdings: Bradley University, Peoria Heights Public Library, Western Illinois, and Lawrence University. Seller Inventory # 76200
