First edition/printing black Hardcover with gold gilt print on spine and DJ, x, 321 pp. One of 3460 copies printed. 13 interior B&W glossy illustration (photos, art). Collection of 25 essays and stories by and about Lovecraft. Other writers include Derleth, C.M. Eddy, Jr., W.S. Home, F. Leiber, J.L. Chalker, A.E. Rothovius, & J.E. Vetter. Intro., Final Notes, and more by Derleth, who calls this a "minor" effort, but, like its predecessor (The Shuttered Room), it's a gold mine of interesting material for Lovecraftians. Book has tiny bump at back bottom corner with corresponding small wrinkle to DJ. My barely visible name-stamp on ffep and top textblock edge. (Sorry - like most of my AH books, this was purchased from Derleth in 1960s without any thought of ever selling it.) Overall, an unusually fine, mostly unread copy. Seller Inventory # 001563
