September 1953 in San Francisco, Kalifornien) war ein bedeutender Architekt des 20. Jahrhunderts. Am bekanntesten sind seine Werke der 1920er Jahre, die sich der expressionistischen und organischen Architektur zuordnen lassen. Mit vielen seiner Skizzen und realisierten Bauvorhaben gilt er auch als einer der Pioniere der Stromlinien-Moderne. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 7-3/8" x 9-3/4", 252pp. Printed on coated paper and bound in sewn signatures in tan cloth boards. Laid in, as a loose sheet, is a 1-page "Einfuhring"; the bottom margin, which had been exposed, is now noticeably frayed / chipped. Title block screened in brown on front cover and spine. Spine split / frayed along its length of the front fold. Otherwise, moderate soiling to front and back cover. Along with some ancient sticker residue, the names of two previous owners are written in pencil on front paste down --- one being Geoffrey Massey, the architect. Binding is square and tight.
