Facsimile of the 1875 edition, with a new foreword by Philip Hofer. Illustrated by �douard Manet. French translation by St�phane Mallarm�. Slim quarto. Facing English and French text. Trifle bumped at the corners and spine ends and tiniest tear at the crown, near fine in a moderately tanned, very good dust jacket with a tiny tear on the rear panel and a bit of cover soil. Copy 611 of 1,000 copies printed. Not marked, but from the library of Poe scholar and former U.S. Poet Laureate Daniel Hoffman, with an exhibition label laid in, noting it is from his personal collection. Also laid in are three Edgar Allan Poe 3-Cent first day covers. Seller Inventory # 556186
