First edition. Octavo. 410pp. Illustrated with nine hand-colored plates (of a Peacock and eight flowers), steel engraved plates, and both full-page and in-text wood engravings. Bound in contemporary half leather and marbled paper over boards, gilt spine. The binding is rubbed with wear to the edges of the boards, spine a little sunned, toning and scattered foxing, good. A well-preserved copy featuring several attractive hand-colored and steel engraved plates.
