First edition, first printing. Published by Methuen in London, 1962. This is a near fine copy. The dust wrapper is nicely illustrated by Shepard and has some mild toning to the top edge and handling marks throughout. It has been price clipped. There is a small, neat previous owners inscription to the front flyleaf in blue ink. The boards are free from chips and marks and the text blocks are bright and clean. Overall, this is a near fine copy. She is off with one flap on her luminous wings. Oh little one, light-hearted and vain, The moon will not shine on your beauty again. Seller Inventory # 15645
