First edition. 24mo. 64pp. Brown wrappers printed in red. Rear cover prints logo of The Roycrofters, incorporating the seahorse device of W.W. Denslow. Nicely printed in red and black type, on laid, deckle-edge paper, with red rubricated initials. Front cover is lightly rubbed and faintly dust soiled, else a fine copy, with the text very fresh and bright. A scarce publication. *OCLC* locates eight copies. The author was a novelist, travel-writer and translator of George Sand. Not in McKenna, *History and Bibliography of the Roycroft Printing Shop*; nor in Greene & Hearn's bibliography, *W. W. Denslow'*. "The gravest question of the departing Nineteenth century is, What is to be the Russia of the Future" (from the last line of text).
