Audio cassette states: "playing time over 90 minutes" Recorded at Colston Hall, Bristol, on October 30th, 1983. Ted Hughes introduces, and reads: "River," "The Risen," "The Howling of Wolves," "Narcissi," "A Sunstruck Foxglove," "Watching a Skylark". Seamus Heaney reads "The Underground," "Sloe Gin," "The Birthplace," "The Railway Children," "In Illo Tempore," "A Kite for Michael and Christopher," "Station Island VI (part) [and] XI (part)". The recording also includes poems read by Anne Stevenson, Libby Houston, D. M. Thomas et al.
