In this book, author Wyngaarden provides a theological defense of amillennialism. He argues that Old Testament prophecies about the kingdom of God are "spiritualized" and fulfilled in the New Testament era through the church, rejecting a future literal earthly kingdom.Martin Jacob Wyngaarden (1891?1978) was a prominent minister of the Christian Reformed Church and a distinguished professor of Old Testament studies at Calvin Theological Seminary for over three decades. Bound in burgundy publisher's cloth, covers are plain with dark yellow lettering on the spine. Includes bibliographical note, and an index of topics and Scripture references. 211 pp. Dust jacket is dark green and light gray protected by a mylar cover. Both book and DJ are VG with underlining throughout in red, and chipping and light soiling on the dust jacket. Even so, the binding is quite sound and is a solid reading / study copy. Full refund if not satisfied. Seller Inventory # 079150
