Scare book that includes important account of the Civil War from the perspective of a doctor serving with an Iowa Regiment. Includes accounts of the Battle of Prairie Grove in Arkansas, the surrender of Vicksburg, Shelby's raid, Quantrill's raid, the Lawrence, Kansas massacre, Pilot Knob and prisoners from Andersonville. This is actually a very nice copy but the hinges are cracked, front and back and and it has a few instances of underlining. Previous owner's name and address on the second free endpage. Exterior covers very clean. Some rubbing to edges and seams. None of the corners are really bumped but a couple are just slightly turned in. The book will be bubble-wrapped and carefully packed in a sturdy box to ensure safe transit. Seller Inventory # ABH6930
