A "behind the scenes and below the surface" history of Picadilly , mainly featuring on its development in Victorian, Edwardian and through to mid 20th century.With many fascinating plates , including Fortnum and Mason in 1837, the Circus at the turn of the century, the Haymarket Theatre, The Egyptian Hall, and some eminent personalities such as Sir Herbert Beerbohn, John Hatchard, the Seventh Earl of Shaftesbury etc. End papers printed with maps, remains of exlibris plate otherwise clean interior and all pages tight within binding. Red cloth covers slightly faded on front but clean and vibrant, as is spine. Note that to send outside the Uk may incur extra shipping due to weight.
