Very good plus, first edition book in very good minus dust jacket. Ivory marbled paper covered boards with dark beige cloth covered spine. Blind stamped illustration of a griffin on the front panel. White lettering on front panel and spine. Minimal small bumps on lower spine ends. Tiny bump on lower edge of front board. Light damp stain on external side page edges with minimal impact (1/4" by 1" at most) to several text pages, otherwise internally clean. Slight cracking to inside front gutter. Text block is sound. Dust jacket is soiled to some degree overall. Extremities are sunned. Damp stain along left edge of back jacket panel and smaller stain to right edge of front jacket panel. Upper edge of back panel has a 1 1/2" closed vertical tear with adjacent creasing. All folds are scuffed. Small chips on edge at head of jacket spine, and with closed vertical tears of 1/2" or less on the corners. Several very small chips along upper and lower edges. Fore-edge corners are minimally rubbed. Lower corner of inside front flap has a 2" by 3/4" clip, but price of $3.50 is intact in the upper corner.
