First Ed. With NO "bashed in corners". No inscriptions and not price clipped. Original price was 30 shillings. The illustrated (in colour) Dust Jacket is intact, bright and clean. Minimal shelf wear to top and bottom of spine (no nicks) . Slight nick to two corners of the DJ .under 1 cm. Blue hardcovers which are bright, clean and undamaged. Pristine end papers. Octavo. The 208 pages of the book are bright and clean and the spine is tight. Black and white plates of war images. Index. There a few very , very light fox marks on the outside edges of the pages, but they are not very visible at all. An amazing story by this accredited war artist; from his war sketch book, he later painted the pictures which are now in the Imperial War Museum collection. This copy is being sold by a longstanding UK bookseller and not a mass lister., which infers that this book is just as described with no nasty surprises. Light to post within the UK.
