The first edition, a collection of the photographer's work in color spanning the period 1941 - 1980. Published in 1980 by Matrix Publishing. Bound in publisher's oatmeal colored cloth with color photo to front board, in matching cloth slipcase. This copy has been inscribed by Callahan to former pupil. A near fine copy of the book with the faded spine which seems to plague this title. Slipcase very good with some light spotting. No dust jacket, as issued. Laid in to this copy is a sixteen inch by sixteen inch promotional piece from Matrix Publishing for Harry Callahan: Color. The color photograph on the promotional item replicates the cover illustration of the book. This piece is also signed by Harry Callahan, directly under the photo.
