Original 1899 copy of Historic Towns of the Middle States. The book is overall in good condition with some minor signs of wear and age. It is an ex-institutional library copy with a little evidence of label removal to the lower spine, small call numbers on the copyright & preface pages, and possibly an additional other page or two with some other minor markings. There is a nice bookplate to the front pastedown. The covers have some mild soiling and wear. The binding is good and sound. The interior is lightly toned from age but mostly clean, though there may be the occasional page with a light bit of foxing or grubbiness. The page edges are rough cut and a page or two has a minor marginal tear. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection, such as a tiny chip, creased page corner, light bit of soiling, etc. Generally though, it's a good copy. The book measures approximately 8 1/2 inches by 6 inches and is 439 pages long with several black and white illustrations.
