There is no author to the title page, though the work has since been attributed to William Pittis, and the dedication is signed 'W.P'. This work regards the Parliament in England at the start of the eighteenth century. Queen Anne had called the third parliament on September 27 1710 and assembled on 25 November 1710. The government was formed from a Tory Landslide which reflected the current sentiment following the trial of Henry Sacheverell. Pittis discusses the impeachments or lack thereof of several individuals to this work. This political tract was written at a time where anti-war sentiment had risen and Pittis touches on the current attitudes and debates regarding war. Pittis also provides a list of the Parliament and Convocation. ESTC no. T92746. The first edition of this work, which is held in a contemporary binding.
