Charlotte Danielson is an education consultant based in Princeton, New Jersey, and developed the framework for teaching. She has taught at all levels, from kindergarten through college, and has worked as an administrator, curriculum director, and staff developer in school districts in several regions of the United States. Danielson also served as a consultant to hundreds of school districts, universities, intermediate agencies, and state department of education in virtually every state and in many other countries. In her consulting work, she has specialized in aspects of teacher quality and evaluation, curriculum planning, performance assessment, and professional development. For several years she served on the staff of Educational Testing Service (ETS) and was involved in many signifi cant projects, including designing the assessor training program for Praxis III: Classroom Performance Assessments.
