With 32pp publisher's catalogue bound in at end. Collects three extended tales first published in periodicals: Jael (English Illustrated Magazine), Jacquetta (English Illustrated Magazine) and Moth-Mullein (Cornhill Magazine). First collected in book form in 1890. In keeping with Baring-Gould's habitual topographical settings, the three stories are based respectively in Essex, Guernsey and the Thames Estuary.
