First edition. Small quarto. 119pp. Illustrated. Endpapers slightly foxed, top corner of pages lightly creased due to a corresponding bump to the boards, boards slightly bowed, still very good in a spine-sunned about very good dust jacket with a 2" tear at the top of the front panel and chips, creasing and small tears along the edges. "This book by an Irish writer deals with Joyce's boyhood and the important years before his exile in 1904."
