A striking publication which discusses legal consequences of Abortion in 18th century Europe: [On Abortion]: Punishment is discussed for "a person who helps to abort a pregnancy of a living child by applying force, by administering certain foods or drinks or for a person who makes a man or woman barren/infertile, if this person would be a man, he shall be struck by the sword and if it is a woman, she shall be drowned. If an abortion would be administered of a child that is not yet "living", the case shall be overseen by legal professionals and the courts" / Includes also several sections in which cases are determined in german and latin, for example a case in which a shepherd made five women pregnant and promised all of them marriage (Once he was found out, instead of looking after all the women, he had to leave the country) / Adultery Cases are discussed in which a woman who has an affair and gives birth to a child, this child will be declared "honorable" as long as if she is "willing" when her real husband desired her / etc. Includes also some interesting legal positions on behaviour towards pregant women in other confessions like Islam and Judaism: Plutarch gets cited in conjunction with "legal punishment for women of jewish confession who commits adultery has to be forced in winter for 40 days in a row to stand in cold water up to her belly button and in summer be seated on top of an ant-hill and parallel for a whole year walk without a shirt and sleep at night outside the door".
