British literary annual containing The Dream by Mary Shelley, A Highland Anecdote by Sir Walter Scott, and numerous other stories and poems. First appearance of "The Dream" a gothic supernatural tale accompanied by an engraved illustration called Constance, painted by Louisa Sharpe and engraved by Charles Heath. Fair binding has peeling spine panel, repaired joints.Bookplate of Dr. Francis Robert Packard on f.f.e., toning to endpapers. Fine book block ready for a new binding.
